Advertisements
Once there was a time when the written word was the main source for information and product advertisement was the usual thing. I think this is the most reasonable form of advertisement, it lists only real, existing features. Unfortunately one day crafty marketingmen discovered that image advertisement or association advertisement brings much higher sales. A beer is not longer bought because it quenches the thirst and because it has a slightly euphorizing effect, it is bought to make people more masculine and more attractive for women. A subrational nonsense of the worst kind!
Furthermore, image advertisement which is made by professional opinion makers usually is very expensive and can be lucrative only with a wide distribution with posters, televivion etc. But then it has an incredible effectiveness which drives rational product advertisement out of the field. Thus I demand that advertisement places and advertisement time in TV must not pay more than a small company can afford. Splitting movies for ads should be forbidden. Big ad posters near streets which can be used only for association ads and distract the view from the street should be removed to reduce the risk of accidents, especially the animated versions.

Anthropomorphism
The mistake of considering animals or plants as humans. Too much anthropomorphism must be avoided, it can lead to excesses like clothes or christmas calendars for dogs or overfeeding and causes cruelty. It is completely useless to speak with non-human life forms, too. They have no language center but simulating certain sounds may be sensible, see also Hunting. Too little anthropomorphism may be bad, too. This leads to a loss of Empathy.
Architecture
The wideness and gloom of cathedrals is a method of subconscious influence and together with acoustic resonance effects it causes anxiety in the believers. Resonance effects are also used in shopping malls, usually the corridors between shops and sales areas are devoid of any carpet. Light effects and fountains create an illusion of movement, a confusing map layout makes it more difficult for the customer to find his way, see also Gruen-Effect.
Autoclave
