This is the Apple II Documentation Project. It aims to recollect as much information on the Apple II computer line and its peripherals as possible.

==Naming conventions==

This project uses the following naming conventions in order to preserve compatibility with many filesystems:

The roman numeral "II" in "Apple II" has been spelled with roman letters instead of using "//" or "][" symbols. The plus symbol in "Apple II+" and "Apple //c+" has been replaced with " plus". Also, the "gs" letters in "Apple IIGS" are rendered in lowercase.

==Organization==

The project is organized like a tree with balanced categories. Should a category have too many entries, the tree should be reorganized. The leaves of the tree should be some of the following types of data:

* Manuals: Contains the item's manuals
* Documentation: Contains the item's documentation (accessory information not supplied by the vendor)
* Photos: Contains the item's photos
* Sounds: Contains the item's sounds
* Disk Images: Contains the item's disk images
* ROM Images: Contains the item's ROM images
* Technical Notes: Contains the manufacturers official technical notes 
* Schematics: Contains the item's technical information
* Datasheets: Contains datasheets for the item's components
* GAL Equations: Contains GAL equations for the item's components
