Images are almost always in .nib form because they will not work as .dsk files. Often, .nib files are used in order to have a way to transfer copy protected disks and use them on emulators. These .nib files usually can not be successfully copied to .dsk disk image files. Sometimes, the reason for using .nib format is just that a program needs to use special Volume numbering to identify disks. (Using .nib format is necessary because .dsk images do not preserve special volume numbering.) The above .nib files can be copied to .dsk images using a whole-disk copier like Disk Muncher (available on TNILUTIL.DSK from Ground). The .dsk file can be transferred to your Apple II and onto a diskette INITed with the correct Volume number. (Or, you can transfer to a disk having any Volume Number and use Bag of Tricks to change the Volume Number afterwards.) You do need to know the correct Volume Number. You should be able to get the Volume number via a CATALOG of the .nib file or by using Disk ID Scan (on TNILUTIL.DSK).
