The Rev C > unfortunately doesn't appear to support CD drives as far as I can tell. It does, in fact. The revision C firmware (341-0437-A) added support for CD-ROM drives - earlier revisions (341-0112A or 341-0112B) only supported hard drives. The catch: it probably only supports Apple's original CDSC drive, and perhaps later derivates (the CDSC+ and CD-150). It certainly won't support issuing audio CD commands to later models, since they use a different command set. It might be able to use other models for data-only access. The Apple High-Speed SCSI card has better support for the CDSC+ and CD-150, but still doesn't support audio commands to later drives. The RamFast has the widest support for CD-ROM drives. -- David Empson dempson@actrix.gen.nz Snail mail: P O Box 27-103, Wellington, New Zealand
