I'm stuck here. Go back onto the Mac, copy all the files from the disk into an empty folder, reformat the disk as ProDOS from the Finder, and copy the files back. > The Apple //gs is a ROM 01 model with 512k in it and no hard drive. ROM 01 models need to have more RAM added in order to be able to use System 6.0.1. System 6.0.1 needs to have at least 1MB. To set up an AppleShare server on the Mac with Apple II boot support, you will need to get AppleShare 2 or 3. AppleShare 2 runs on System 6 and claims your system whole, and is available at: http://home.wanadoo.nl/ruud.dingemans/html/system6.html AppleShare 3 runs on System 7 or later, and doesn't take up the whole system. It is not available on the Internet legally, since it's still commercial software. If you really want it, it is on an FTP server somewhere... You need to install the server software and the Apple II Setup files (find those through the Custom Install option). When it is installed, set up the server and create a user name for the IIgs. Copy all the IIgs files over to the hard drive (root level), turn on the Apple II boot support (in AppleShare Admin), and connect the IIgs and the Mac together. Set up the IIgs (a ROM 01 would need slots 1/2, 7, and Startup set the AppleTalk), and turn it on. I would like to see all this information added to the FAQ.
