For the most part, this is true. Although for any long term II
user, you gain a bit of programming skills just by using the
various program and OS's around.

Sadly, this is exactly what the 'big boys' in the computer biz
have wanted all along. By splitting the computer user population
in such a manner, they can charge those outrageous prices that
we see in the marketplace.

I think part of the reason I love my II's is the 'tinker factor'
involved in using them. They started out a s one man's hobby and
turned into many people's infatuation. Well, mine at least. :-)
