It needs to have the code for a good monitor. For example, you would have all of the capabilities of the current IIgs monitor plus some additional features. It does not need to contain anything owned by Apple or Microsoft. We can not afford to be loaded down with bothers about ownership of old firmware. In order to, eventually, have a way to continue and enhance the II series, we need to get beyond dependence upon owning a machine which is no longer produced. Rubywand
