You can use an HFS-formatted Zip disk to transfer files between computers. Ideas for doing this are presented in more detail in the FAQs at http://home.swbell.net/rubywand/Csa2ZIPTF.html#008 . When you have the files on an HFS disk in your IIgs Zip drive, you can transfer them to ProDOS diskettes, a ProDOS /RAM5 RAM disk, or ProDOS hard disk partition. Eventually, you should end up with diskettes which can install System 6.0.1 on the first partition (ProDOS) of a Zip disk. Zip disks work fine for booting GS System 6.0.1. A good place to get the System 6.0.1 disk files is USA2WUG at ... http://www.grin.net/~cturley/USA2WUG/SystemSoftware/IIgsSystem601disks/ .
