For example, suppose you have two columns of Text and you want to move the second column below the first column and have just one column: o- First, make sure there is at least one blank line beneath the two columns of Text. o- Position the cursor at the start of the first (top) line of the two-column Text. o- Press OpenApple-X (OA-X) to start creating a new macro o- When asked to pick a new macro key, press, say, "T" (and select "Yes" if asked if you want to replace the current macro for "T"). ~Now, you are recording kepresses for the new macro.~ o- Cursor over (plain Right arrow key) to the start of the second column. o- Press OA-M (Move) and select 'to the Clip Board' (i.e. highlight and press RETURN to select). o- Press OA-> (OA plus ">" i.e. the ./> key shifted) to select everything in the rest of the current line and press RETURN. o- Press RETURN again to terminate the line you are on. This places the cursor at the start of the next line of Text. o- Cursor down (plain Down arrow key) to the blank line just below the two columns of Text. o- Press OA-C (Copy) and select 'from the Clip Board' o- Press OA-> (OA plus ">" i.e. the ./> key shifted) to get to the end of the new line. o- Press RETURN to create a new blank line and get the cursor back to the start of a line. o- Cursor up (plain Up arrow key) to the start of the next line of two-column Text. o- Press Control-@ (Control plus the 2/@ key shifted) to end recording of the "T" macro. Now, when you press Option-T (on the IIgs), the stuff in column two is moved to the end of column one and the cursor ends up at the start of the next line of two-column Text (ready for another Option-T keypress).
