Living in a condo sucked. Never had the room to set up all my computer crap. My wife and I just bought a house, and it came with a "bonus room" (translation: non-permitted). Given the absolute lack of space in the old condo, my IIgs equipment has been lying dormant in the garage..... for the last 2 years. So last night, I broke out the old IIgs, hooked her up, and it came right up.... Straight into GS/OS. Never missed a beat (I was worried about the hard drive). My daughter (3 years old) asked me "what is that". I said "It is your computer". Her eyes lit up. She moved a chair over to the desk, sat down, and started messing with it. She wanted to "paint". So I loaded up the AWGS paint program. She took to it like a fish to water. Something about a mouse with a single button and a simple interface attracted her. She loves "her computer". It is kinda neat watching your child learn about computers on the same computer you learned on yourself. Well, originally, I learned on a Vic-20, TRS-80 Model 3 and a IIe before I got my IIgs, but you know what I mean!
