Mac in a IIgs??????? - Why Not???? In a newsgroup I read daily, the question was asked about finding Mac ROM's for emulator use. A posted answer was given below: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Subject: Re: Need ROM Image for Macintosh emulator From: Mike Jenkins Newsgroups: comp.emulators.misc Date: Sat, 30 Oct 1999 12:12:45 +0100 Message-ID: References: <381A1B40.5303A97D@datasync.com> NNTP-Posting-Host: host-75-100.dial.in2home.co.uk X-Newsreader: Forte Agent 1.6/32.525 MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Lines: 13 On Fri, 29 Oct 1999 17:10:08 -0500, David Gieger wrote: >Does anybody have a 1MB Macintosh rom image to use with Fusion? www.kwik-e-mart.in2home.co.uk _________________________________________ Mike Jenkins ROMS? Now, wouldn;t it be cool if some cool and skilled programmer could use them to make a low-end 'FREEWARE' Mac emulator for the Apple IIgs??? I Imagine such an emulator, would allow the IIgs users to use Netscape or most any other Mac app. that has functionality they now lack with the current Apple IIgs. I've talked with some A2 icon programmers that told me such could be done -- like for instants -- a Mac SE emulator could be done for the IIgs. BTW, I also obtained a Palm Pilot ROM image. in case anybody might have the desire to work on such an emulator of that also for the IIgs. I'm more than willing to help with fuirnishing anything ;) NEEDED, to help with such a Mac -> IIgs and/or Palm -> IIgs emulator, if anybody wants to give it a try. Please contact me. All Apple's working together - are better than none, as I see it. Looking forward to any reply on this proposal. Cheers, Tom Email: cturley@grin.net
