AIM OF THE GAME The screen consists of a maze which contains a number of crates and storage locations. The little man must push the crates into the storage spaces (the blue patterns on the floor) in the least number of moves possible. Although this sounds simple, it's a lot harder than you think! The problem is that the crates must be pushed, one at a time, from behind. They cannot be pulled. It is quite complex and addictive. There are fifty levels built in. They are all possible, but some are so difficult that you won't believe they can be done. PLAYING THE GAME You can start a new game by selecting "New Game" from the File menu, or by pressing Apple-N. Alternatively, you can start on any level of your choice by selecting "Go To Level" from the Game menu, or by pressing Apple-G. CONTROLS You can control the man on the screen with the keyboard. You can guide him up, down, left or right with the keys: I, J, K, L, or you can use the numeric pad keys: 2, 4, 6, 8. An artificial intelligence feature has also been added. If you click the mouse pointer on a space, the man will automatically walk to where you clicked, taking the shortest route possible. If it is impossible for the man to get there without pushing any crates, the man will turn in a circle on the spot. This handy feature can save your fingers from becoming tired. UNDO FEATURE If you realise that you have made a mistake, you can use Apple-Z to back up your moves. You can go back as many moves as you want - even right back to the beginning. SAVED GAMES *** Note: You can only save your games temporarily in memory. They are not saved to disk. When you quit from the game, or turn the computer off, you will lose your saved games. Selecting "Save Game" (Apple-S) will save your current game status in memory. An icon representing the maze is created, and you can also give it a short name if you like. You can revert back to your saved games by selecting "Go Back To Saved" (Apple-B). This brings up a dialog box where you can scroll through your saved games. Double clicking on a game will reload that game. If you decide that you won't need a particular game again, you can delete it by selecting it, and clicking the "Delete" button. OTHER FEATURES Go To Next Level (Apple-+): If you give up on a level, and want to try the next one, select this item. Restart Level (Apple-R): Use this if you have really messed up... Hall of Fame: See the record holders for all fifty levels. THINGS TO LOOK FORWARD TO (MAYBE) * Sound * Replay feature * Screen editor * Enhanced point and click artificial intelligence
