Subject: Re: Q: Import AST/Visionary on the Mac? From: paulp@wrq.com (Paul Pietromonaco) Date: Tue, Dec 1, 1998 20Ç50 Message-id: <742deq$8s0$2@wrqnews.wrq.com> I used to use the Visionary to capture video images which I'd then edit on my Macintosh, since my Mac had no video input. It's been a while since I did this stuff, but, if I remember correctly, the best way I found to do it was to use Seven Hills SuperConvert to turn the visionary files into Macintosh compatible TIFF files, and then edit them with whichever Mac program I wanted. You had to save the visionary files in their RAW format and then create the TIFF from the 24 bit internal (non-displayed) SuperConvert video - not from a 16 color dithered display. This way, you could get all of the color possible to your Macintosh. If you want to see the results, surf to http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/ppietro - the images came out pretty good, considering all the steps involved.
