The enhanced IIe says "Apple //e". (The all-caps "APPLE ][" is only used in the ][+, or in a ][ which has been upgraded with the autostart ROM or is using a ROM card containing it.) Another hint: if the IIe keyboard has a numeric keypad built into it, then it is definitely an enhanced IIe.
