LuFiCeR v1.0 ______________ 1. So, what does this program do? This program converts files from unix standard ( line terminated) to prodos standard ( line terminated) and vice versa. Yes, I know there are many programs that do this, but I didn't have one at the time and needed one. Unlike your garden variety version of this utility, LuFiCeR will automatically detect which operation needs to be done. If a combination of & are detected within the first 16k then the operation is aborted. :?: I don't need MS-DOS conversion (and didn't add it in) but if anyone is desperate, let me know. 2. How do I use it? Start the program; select the file(s); watch it convert; repeat. 3. Uh, browse-king? The minibrowser (browse-king) shows the list of files (bin or txt) that you can submit to the conversion process. In addition: - Space allows you to select multiple files to convert. - Tab lets you select from a list of volumes. - Cmd+Left or Right switches to the next online volume with selectable files. - Esc exits the program. - Return or Right selects a file or directory. - Left backs up a directory level. - Cmd+Up or Cmd+Down moves up or down 10 files 4. What's this, there's more? You can direct lfcr to act upon a specific file at run-time by use of a program like Davex of Finder (or anything that supports the standard prodos startup buffer). In this mode it will exit after it's finished with it's business. You can also use the 'O' key to set lfcr into overwrite mode, although the default is for it to append '.c' to the filename which is a bit safer. 5. Hey, you ain't one of them devil worshippers is you? Nope. The name just sorta worked out that way. I figured it was catchier than 'lfcr' which is the filename.
