JANUARY 1, 1996 The 'FIRST' Apple IIGS program archive of the New Year! The 'PSPDS.SHK' - Shrinkit archive is the 'English translated version' of the Polysons v5.1 Apple IIGS music, midi, sound designer program (with all Orca/M source codes. included). Both the program and the source codes are released to public domain. Our 1WSW team member and the programs author, Jean Pierre Charpentier has agreed to release them into the public domain, in the hope that some other IIGS programmer may be able to continue with updates and improvements to Polysons or even apply the src.code infomation within their own IIGS music programming efforts. Jean Pierre, has a full time job as an IBM programmer, a baby son, a new baby daughter and he simply has no time, to do any more with the program. The 'PSPDS.SDK' - Shrinkit self-extracting archive requires above 800k of space to unpack. Thus, you'll need a hard drive to unpack its contents! Our 1WSW team members can't devote any time with updates for the program, due to other IIGS development efforts and projects. Polysons v5.1 is a very unique and advanced program. The only one of its kind, ever developed for the IIGS. It was formally a copyrighted freeware. I hope, with its release to the public domain, some talented IIGS programmer or group of programmers, will continue with improvements and updates. It's a very impressive MIDI sequencer, advanced sound designer and has many unique potentials with audio development abilities. The source codes are for the French version, which is included. The English translated version of the program was released some time ago. For those wishing a copy of the English version, this is it! It can be found on GEnie, in their Apple IIGS archives (but, without the src. codes). Maybe somebody should put this archive on GEnie, hint! Hint!! Should there be any need to verify the public domain release status of Polysons v5.1 and its source codes, the authors name, address and telephone number are listed below. Please keep in mind, if you do need to call, (for any reason) that the time difference from the US (pacific time zone) to France is 9 hours ahead. I also retain a letter of authorization from him to release it, with the src. codes to public domain.
