CDT.RECORDS - README.TXT

This is an old Database program I wrote to keep track of my youth group members. It was written for an apple ][+ with an 80 column card installed and activated.

The program assumes that you have patched DOS3.3 to change the "CATALOG" command to "CC". If you have not done so, then find the "CC" command in the basic program and replace it with "CATALOG", otherwise you will not be able to view disk directories when loading data files.

This Database loads the file "TABS.5" on startup. This file contains the outline of the Database (ie the field names and location on screen).  The program "MAKE.TABS.5" can be used to create new outlines if necessary.  To change the fields you will need to ammend the basic programming. It is not difficult:

   E= number of fields (it is set in the first line of the program.

The data lines at the end of the program provide the field details. The format is simple "FIELD NAME", screen x coordinate, screen y coordinate.
